Like many other mammals, the immune repertoire of rabbits consists of several immunoglobulins (Ig) isotypes (IgA, IgG, IgE, and IgM). However, compared to other species, rabbits possess only one type of IgG carrying either a lambda or kappa light chain. Historically, rabbit antibodies have been a rich source of polyclonal antibodies, which were employed in various fields of life sciences. They are employed either directly from animal sera or as affinity-purified reagents.  In addition, advances in antibody engineering over the last decade enabled the generation of monoclonal rabbit antibodies. Independent of its clonality and irrespectively of its VH domain, our single domain antibodies (sdAbs, or Nanobodies) bind the constant domain (Fc) of any rabbit IgG specifically and with high affinity, making this secondary tool ideal for demanding imaging applications.

Specificity: Recognizes native Rabbit IgG. It does not cross-react with Mouse, Guinea Pig, Chicken, Rat, Donkey, Goat, Pig, Horse, Cow or Human IgGs.
Formulation: 1)The DBCO and biotin-conjugated sdAbs (1:1 labeling on the c-term.) are lyophilized from PBS pH 7.4. Reconstitute with 250 µL 50% glycerol for storage at -80°C. 2)The unconjugated with a C-terminal Cys sdAbs are lyophilized from 10 mM KPi pH 6.0, 150 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA. Reconstitute with 250 µL pure water. Use unconjugated sdAbs immediately after reconstitution. 3)The HRP-conjugated sdAbs are lyophilized from HRP-Protector. Reconstitute HRP-conjugated sdAbs with 200 µL pure water. Store at 4°C.
