sdAb anti-Synaptotagmin 1 (SYT1) is an alpaca single-domain antibody (sdAb) that recognizes specifically the cytoplasmic domain of murine Synaptotagmin 1 with high affinity and specificity.

Synaptotagmin 1 (Syt1) belongs to a family with 17 members. Synaptotagmins are all single-pass transmembrane proteins containing two domains binding to calcium at their intracellular portion.  Synaptotagmin 1 is enriched at the pre-synaptic boutons on axon terminals, associated with synaptic vesicles, and is implicated in triggering vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release upon a local increase of calcium concentration.

Our nanobody recognizes strongly and specifically the cytosolic portion of SYT1.

Storing: Vials containing lyophilized protein can be stored at 4°C for up to 6 months. Vials containing reconstituted protein should be stored at -20°C or below.
Protocols:

This Product is not recommended to be used to detect proteins in Western Blott, sdAbs tend to recognize native/folded protein mainly.

Look at detailed protocols in our Resource Section.
