Bi-specific single-domain antibodies represent a groundbreaking advancement in the field of immunotherapy and targeted drug delivery. These innovative molecules are engineered to bind simultaneously to two distinct antigens or epitopes, which can be particularly advantageous for complex diseases like cancer and autoimmune disorders. By targeting two different pathological markers at once, these antibodies can enhance the specificity and efficacy of treatments, potentially reducing side effects and improving patient outcomes. For example, in cancer therapy, one part of the bi-specific antibody might bind to a cancer cell marker, while the other targets a molecule on immune cells, thereby directing the immune system to attack the cancer cells more effectively. Similarly, in autoimmune diseases, they can be designed to interfere with specific pathways involved in the disease process, offering a more targeted approach to treatment compared to conventional therapies.

These anti-ALFA/anti-IgG (various subtypes available) bi-specitifics can be used to target monoclonals to ALFA-tagged proteins. By using this modular systems many different combination of primary monoclonals and ALFA-tagged tragets can be assayed without having to create all possbile variants from scratch.
