sdAb precision & abberior STAR brilliance – A perfect STED pair

Our FluoTag®-X4 anti-GFP binds strongly to most fluorescent proteins derived from Aequorea victoria, enabling direct immunofluorescence (IF) without the need for a secondary antibody. Thanks to its small size (~3 nm; 15 kDa), the FluoTag®-X4 achieves deep sample penetration, making it highly effective in dense cellular environments and thick specimens, all while minimizing artifacts in IF.

The FluoTag®-X4 anti-GFP is a blend of two high affinity monovalent single-domain antibody (sdAb) clones, each binding to distinct epitopes on GFP. Every sdAb carries two fluorophores, decorating GFP-tagged proteins with a total of four fluorophores for enhanced signal intensity.

The abberior STAR fluorescent dyes were design by abberior experts to meet the specific requirements of the Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED) microscopy. They cover a broad spectral range from blue (432 nm) to red (638 nm), with dyes specifically optimized for 775 nm STED (STAR RED) and provide bright, sharp, and background-free staining, ensuring exceptional imaging quality.

FluoTag®-X4 anti-GFP variants conjugated to abberior STAR dyes available now:
