Batch-to-Batch variability is often an issue when using conventional polyclonal antibodies. Our Tags are recombinantly produced in E. coli, which helps to make your assays reproducible.
With only ~15 kDa, our Tags are about 10-times smaller than conventional IgG antibody molecules. This simple but significant difference is the core feature that adds extra benefits to our tools.
Our single-domain antibody-based Tags are significantly lighter than conventional IgGs. 1 µg of Tag will therefore contain ~10-times more molecules than 1 µg of a conventional antibody.
Our current product lines are based on recombinant single-domain antibodies (sdAbs) derived from llamas or alpacas. This type of affinity Tags (also known as “Nanobodies”; trademark owned by Ablynx) provides significant advantages over conventional IgG molecules. All of our Tags are produced in-house.
