FluoTag®-X2 anti-Synaptotagmin 1 (SYT1) is an alpaca single-domain antibody (sdAb) that recognizes specifically the cytoplasmic C-terminal domain of murine Synaptotagmin 1 with high affinity and specificity. Our X2 series features two site-specifically coupled fluorophores per sdAb. This reagent brings precisely two fluorophores to each Synaptotagmin 1 molecule, which results in an enhanced signal that increases linearly with the number of targets. The FluoTag®-X2 anti-Synaptotagmin 1 is validated for immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry applications. In contrast to conventional antibodies, our FluoTags are 10x smaller and have an enhanced penetration in tissue. They are also monovalent, which avoids probe-induced artifacts like clustering of target molecules and they do not need to be revealed using secondary antibodies. Our FluoTag®-X2 anti-Synaptotagmin 1 is therefore ideally suited for various microscopy applications.
