sdAb anti-mRuby3 is derived from an in-house developed single-domain antibody (sdAb) that specifically recognizes mRuby3, a bright monomeric red fluorescent protein with enhanced brightness and photostability compared to earlier mRuby variants. Available conjugated to Biotin, DBCO, C-terminal Cysteine, or customized upon request. For fluorescent conjugates, see our FluoTag® product line.
mRuby is a bright monomeric red fluorescent protein, which has more than 20 mutations compared to its wild-type predecessor (eqFP611) found in Entacmaea quadricolor. mRuby, mRuby2, and mRuby3 are all excited at 560 nm, with mRuby3 being the brightest.
An open-source database with the most currently available variants can be found at the Fluorescent Protein Database FPbase.
sdAb anti-mRuby3 binds specifically and strongly to mRuby3. It does not recognize mRuby and mRuby2. For detailed information, please refer to our FP Specificity Chart.

DBCO- and Biotin-conjugated sdAbs (1:1 labeling on the C-terminus) are lyophilized from PBS pH 7.4. Unconjugated sdAbs are lyophilized from 5 mM KPi pH 6.0, 300 mM NaCl, 0.5 mM EDTA pH 6.0. Reconstitute with 250 µL pure deionized water for immediate use or with 250 µL sterile 50% glycerol for storage at -80°C.
